The Frontier 5000 Series, from OHAUS Corporation, has added two new centrifuges:
FC5513: a high-speed benchtop microcentrifuge that can generate 17,317 xg of speed with four optional rotors and 24 x 1.5 ml microtube rotors with a biocontainment option.
FC5707: a compact, low-speed multi-purpose centrifuge designed for general laboratory applications. This unit has a pre-installed 8 x 15 ml rotor that can process both round and conical bottom tubes and can be adapted with accessories to process 7 ml, 5 ml and 1.5/2 ml tubes.
Both centrifuges have splash-proof front panels, touch-wheel controls, and a compact footprint of 24 cm in width. There are 10 acceleration and 10 deceleration rates with pre-selection running options.
