Conventional techniques used to characterize polymers, such as NMR and size-exclusion chromatography/differential refractive index detection, are often labor intensive, complex to perform, and high in cost. In contrast, the analytical technique presented in this article uses a triple‑detector SEC–MALS–UV–dRI system to provide absolute molecular weight as well as information on the chemical composition of copolymers, without increasing analysis times.
