Hands on Mass Spectrometry for Educators: Affordable MS complete with tuition program for curriculum

Developed for chemistry students to experience relevant hands on mass spectrometry experience

Image

Advion offers a plug and play compact single quadrupole mass spectrometer designed specifically with the academic chemistry laboratory in mind. When teaching undergraduates the basics of chemistry, it is important to keep the spark of learning alive. The expression CMS takes the learning to a new level with hands-on, real-time analysis in a foolproof package. Using the direct analysis probe (ASAP), students can simply dip the probe into their reaction mixture and then slide the probe into the mass spectrometer for immediate analysis without additional sample preparation.
Developed by Cornell Professor Emeritus, Jack Henion, PhD along with leading chemistry departments the course curriculum focuses on key topics relevant to students interested in continuing down an academic path as well as those entering industry and government.

A lecture course introducing chemists to the techniques of mass spectrometry include:

1. An Introduction to Mass Spectrometry
2. Direct syringe injection (Flow Injection Analysis)
3. Direct sampling probe (ASAP)
4. TLC Mass Analysis
5. LC/MS
6. Other liquid introduction mass spectrometry applications and techniques

Advion is a leader in mass spectrometry and synthesis solutions. The expression CMS is a high performance, compact, affordable single quadrupole mass spectrometer. Its compact size allows it to fit in to space-limited labs for direct access to immediate results for chemists requiring mass confirmation, reaction monitoring, quality control and purity analysis.
