MB3600-CH10 FT-NIR Analyzer for Oleochemicals

The MB3600-CH10 is an FT-NIR analyzer for Oleochemicals applications. This analyzer is pre-calibrated for Iodine Value and % Trans Fat suitable for a wide variety of sample types, including raw and processed vegetable oils. The IV determination uses a global calibration in accordance with the AOCS-approved standard procedure Cd 1e_01.

ABB has been a world leader in FT-NIR analysis solutions for many years.

ABB presents the new MB3600-CH10, a high-performance laboratory FT-NIR analyzer for oil and fat applications.

This analyzer is pre-calibrated for iodine value and percentage trans fat, suitable for a wide variety of sample types, including raw and processed vegetable oils.

We have worked together with customers and the American Oil Chemist Society to help define standard methods for FT-NIR calibration and analysis of oils and fats.

The MB3600-CH10 laboratory analyzer simplifies oil and fat quality analysis in the laboratory.  It combines the analysis of iodine value and the percentage of trans fats in one single measurement step.

It's very easy to run large sample batches, easy to use the software and pre-calibrated analytic procedures required for quality assurance and control.

The health-monitoring diagnostics can be consulted continuously to ensure data integrity.  Instrument validation can be done at any time while the analysis is in progress, and it provides a complete quality assurance report.

The sampling is easily done by using heated disposable glass vials for oils and fats, which eliminate sample cell cleaning.

The quality assurance and control workflow software is easy to use.

Push only one button to proceed to the sample analysis and get results in less than two minutes with simultaneous analysis of multiple components.

Pre-installed calibration models for IV and percentage trans follow AOCS-recommended procedures for development and validation.

The MB3600-CH10 simplifies the development of local site database calibration models, allowing the analyzer to be used for a wide range of process strains and properties.

ABB offers a full range of custom modeling services and chemometric training for our customers.

Routine analysis for other samples could be done in the same way.  Transfer a second sample to the analysis position.  The primary method takes much longer for a complete analysis and is less repeatable than the FT-IR technology.

ABB Analytical is one of the major ABB manufacturing centers for laboratory and process analytical systems with more than 35 years of experience in developing FT-IR and FT-NIR spectrometers.
